Computer Science Program

The Texas A&M University – San Antonio’s Computer Science program prepares its students to be productive technical IT professionals. The program recognizes that students must have the right combination of theory and technical skills.

The CS program supports San Antonio’s current initiative to become CyberCityUSA. It also strives to meet the information technological needs of organizations within the city of San Antonio as well as the surrounding communities.As part of this initiative, the CS Program is a member of the San Antonio Cyber Innovation and Research Consortium (CIRC).  CIRC's mission is to conduct, coordinate and promote cyber and cyber security innovation, research, and policy, with particular focus on basic and applied research, education and curriculum, and outreach. CIRC members include The University of Texas at San Antonio, Our Lady of the Lake University, St. Mary's University, TAMU-SA, Trinity University, and the Alamo Colleges.
