Testing & Assessment Process

4 Easy Steps to Getting Approved for State Examination

Step1: TExES Review Sessions
(to be completed before the end of Field Residency I. Completion of review
sessions is included in the scoring rubric for Field Residency I and counts
toward course credit.)

Step 2: TExES Paper-Based Practice Tests
(to be completed before the end of Field Residency II. Scores on practice tests
will be utilized on the scoring rubric for Field Residency II and counts toward course credits).

Step 3: Study Commitment Form

  • Student can pick-up form at TPCC or request by email
  • Form(s) are turned in to the TPCC office
  • Step 4: Approval for State Exams
(to be completed before the end of Student Teaching, however; it is highly
recommended that state exams are taken and passed prior to the Student
Teaching semester.) A student's status regarding state exams is included in
the scoring rubric for Student Teaching and is a component of the final grade.
