Mrs. Jane Wiatrek is a university partner in the Department of Education. She has worked with pre-service students in past semesters and currently is employed as a university partner for both pre-service and student teachers.
She has 34 years of experience in K-12 education. She taught elementary grade levels for 18 years, was a campus principal for 10 years and a district level elementary curriculum director for 2 years. After her retirement, in 2004, she continued working in public schools as a part-time classroom instructor and home-bound teacher.
Mrs. Wiatrek earned a B.S in Education and a M.Ed. degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. Her certifications include: Early Childhood Education-Handicapped (PK-6), Kindergarten (PK-K), Elementary Self-Contained (1-8) and Mid-Management Administrator (PK-12).
