Services for Faculty
Course Reserves
Electronic Course Content Copyright Guidelines (.pdf) >
Faculty may place articles, books, CD’s, DVD’s, and more on course reserves, giving students access to these materials for limited time periods. The library will not purchase textbooks, but you can bring in extra or personal copies of current textbooks you would like to make available to students. Fill out the Course Reserves Form (.pdf) and return it to the library, along with the items you are placing on course reserves. Supplemental materials will be purchased each semester and placed on reserve for your courses.
Library Instruction
The TAMU-SA Library offers instruction in how to use library resources for TAMU-SA faculty interested in offering this instruction during a scheduled class session. Please read the Guidelines for Hosting a Library Instruction Session (.pdf) before submitting the Instruction Request Form (.doc) to your subject librarian (see below).
Purchase Requests
Do you want to see a particular book, journal, DVD, or other item added to the library? Is there a specific topic you would like the library to get more resources for? Faculty and staff can make requests for additions to the University Library! Send an email to your subject librarian and indicate what titles or types of materials you would like to see purchased.
