President's Circle
Mission
Texas A&M University-San Antonio is a university of choice - uniquely military embracing - known throughout San Antonio to produce students of the highest quality.
About the University
Texas A&M University-San Antonio is the dream of the late Senator Frank Madla, who worked to establish an institution of higher learning in the Alamo City’s South Side. Today, Texas A&M-San Antonio is experiencing unprecedented growth after achieving stand-alone status with the signing of Senate Bill 629 in 2009.
An upper-level institution with 19 undergraduate degrees and nine graduate degrees, Texas A&M-San Antonio originated as a system center of A&M-Kingsville with a few portables on the campus of Palo Alto College. In the past two years, enrollment has grown over 90%, and student life is thriving.
The University continues to develop premier academic programs with top-rate faculty, student embracing campus atmosphere, producing exemplary graduates and new teachers dedicated to serving the community. Texas A&M-San Antonio is well on its way to becoming the second largest campus in the Texas A&M University System.
