The request is very simple to use.
Go to the Intranet at http://intranet/communications/workorder/default.aspx (if you are on-campus ONLY).
Click "Tasks" on the menu to the left. Click "New" to create a task. From there you can create your text, submit your request as well as upload documents. Ensure that you assign the task to appropriate person: Brandon Oliver for graphic design, web content/upload, image creation and photography; Jill Reddish for content-oriented materials (letters, printables).
You can check back on your task to see the time stamp of when it was edited and finished.
Please submit your request within two weeks of the project start date. Allow 2 to 4 weeks between the time you submit your request and all copy for design and layout and your requested date of completion. Large jobs may require more than 4 weeks notice, and job priority may shift based upon demand for services at the time. Please understand that we must have time for design, editing, and printing (printing is usually 3-5 days depending on need).
ALLprint orders must have your Department Code to be charged. For print order please include quantity desired.
When placing a request, please describe:
- Concept: Look, imagery to be used, what audience this is for.
- Deadline: Please give a deadline for the project. Please not the timelines listed above.
- Pertinent people to review: Please list those within your departments or others that will need to review this project to ensure accuracy.
To make a change to a web page, or to create a page, please use the Task feature.
Please enter in all content to be placed on the web page in the "Body" of the task. You may also include an attachment, such as a Word document, that has the content to be placed on a web page.
Please remember that when requesting edits to a web page that is already active, copy and paste the URL (web address) when you submit your task and
Please attach any important documents, such as pdfs, images, excel spreedsheets, etc.
For the photo shoot, you may use the "Task" feature or the "Calendar" feature. Please include date, event information, and shots/subjects preferred (if there is a special guest, a speaker, etc.). Please note it the shoot is not an event but rather for headshots.
Please provide at least 24 hours notice for a photo shoot.
