Texas A&M University-San Antonio makes the grade as “Military Friendly”
Excerpts taken from the September 12, 2011 San Antonio Business Journal
Texas A&M University-San Antonio earned a spot on G.I. Jobs’ 2012 Military Friendly Schools lists, a magazine that lists the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that work the hardest to embrace military service members and veterans as students.
G.I. Jobs surveyed more than 8,000 schools nationwide to comprise the list of 1,518 military friendly institutions. These schools offer scholarships and discounted tuition, veterans’ clubs, dedicated staff to assist military students and in some cases military credit for students.
A full story and detailed list of schools will be released in G.I. Jobs’ Guide to Military Friendly Schools in early October 2011.
